A few weeks ago I encountered a neat little trick on this site that I wanted to emulate. After much swearing, and learning a little more about javascript, I managed to wrestle my homepage into submission.
You’ll see from that, that I also decided it might be a fun thing to have a slideshow. Why did I conceive of such an idea????? I’m no web developer and don’t write javascript. Fortunately, there are people out there who do, and are willking to share their ideas. That one was by courtesy of BarelyFitz designs. and a lot more swearing etc etc to get what I want. It’s still not quite perfect, but it will do. I’ve tested it out on five browsers (and went through that stage, known to all designers, of it looking right in two, but not in the other three, and, when you correct the fault, it then looks right in the other three, but a brand-new fault has turned up in two!)
Anyway, I’m happy.
